Ilan Gur
Director || Cyclotron Road

Ilan founded Cyclotron Road to bridge a gap he observed in energy technology innovation over the past decade. Before launching the program, he served as Program Director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). At ARPA-E, he managed a $50 million portfolio of advanced R&D projects in the areas of energy storage, solar energy, and advanced materials. He was also a senior advisor and cofounder of ARPA-E's Technology-to-Market program, aimed at maximizing the commercial and societal impact of the agency's breakthrough R&D portfolio. Prior to ARPA-E, Ilan launched two venture-backed clean energy startups based on advanced materials and novel manufacturing approaches. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in materials science and engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Janine Elliott
Program Officer, Curriculum Development and Entrepreneurship Training  ||  VentureWell

Janine has worked with VentureWell, a national non-profit based in Massachusetts, for the past two and half years. At VentureWell, she designs and facilitates trainings that help undergraduate and graduate student grantees build their entrepreneurial skills, such as vetting markets, building business models, and preparing them to raise first equity investments. To inform on-going curriculum development for VentureWell's portfolio of science and technology-based startups, she can often be spotted networking in the Boston cleantech & healthcare communities. Prior to her current role, Janine was an educator for 5 years and co-founded of a cleantech materials startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a BA from Colby College and an MBA from Dominican University of California.
